Terms of service

The agreement between you and us when you use Orb. Written to be read, not skimmed.

Last updated 29 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [legal name of the business, to be confirmed] (“we”, “us”), which operates Orb. By creating an account or using Orb, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Orb.

2. What Orb is

Orb is a voice coach. It answers from the material you give it, helps you plan goal journeys, writes documents for you, and checks in on your progress. It runs in your web browser.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to use Orb.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Membership, trial and billing

  • Membership costs $29 a month, plus any taxes that apply, and starts with a 7-day free trial.
  • Payment is taken by our payment processor, Stripe. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your membership begins when it does and renews each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future payments; [whether access continues to the end of the paid month, and the refund policy, to be confirmed during legal review].
  • If we change the price, we will tell you before the change applies to you.

5. The monthly allowance

Membership includes a monthly allowance of conversation time and documents, described in your account. If you reach it, some features may pause until the allowance renews at the start of your next billing month. Membership is not unlimited.

6. Your content

  • Your documents, messages and everything else you give Orb remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to provide Orb to you, including through the providers listed on the sub-processors page.
  • You must have the right to upload what you add, and it must not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
  • How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy. You can export your data or delete your account at any time.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not use Orb to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to;
  • harass, threaten or harm anyone;
  • upload material you have no right to share;
  • get around the monthly allowance, rate limits or other safeguards;
  • probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; or
  • resell or share access to your account.

8. Answers can be wrong

Orb’s answers are generated by artificial intelligence and can be incomplete or mistaken, even when they draw on your own material. Check anything important before you rely on it. Orb does not give legal, financial or other professional advice.

9. Not therapy or medical advice

Orb is a coach for your work and your goals. It is not therapy, and it does not give medical advice or diagnose anything. Do not use it in an emergency: if you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services.

10. Changes to Orb

We are improving Orb all the time, so features may change. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your membership includes, we will tell you first.

11. Ending your membership

You can cancel or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

12. Liability

[Disclaimers and limits of liability to be drafted during legal review, in line with the consumer law that applies to members.]

13. Governing law

[Governing law and venue to be confirmed during legal review.]

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell members before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms: [support email, to be confirmed].
