One orb, several jobs. A mode decides which documents Orb can read, who it is while it is there, and what it sounds like. You might have Work and Church, or Clients and Study: whatever you need.
Creating and switching modes
Modes live under Start here in the Knowledge base panel. Add one, rename it, or switch to it there; once you have more than one, the Mode switch appears in the top bar too. Switching starts a fresh conversation, because work questions and pastoral ones do not belong in one thread.
What each mode has of its own
- Its documents. Material filed under a mode is read there, and not elsewhere unless you file it under both.
- A personality. Describe who the orb is in this mode, how it speaks and what it cares about, under How it answers.
- A pronunciation guide. Teach it how to say the names, places and terms your work uses, under Voice feel.
- Web search, on or off. Let it look things up online in one mode and keep strictly to your material in another, under How it answers.
- A voice. Choose from a range of natural voices, under Voice feel.
