Orb runs in your web browser, on a computer or a phone. There is nothing to install. Sign in and you will meet your orb: a soft grey sphere with a hand-drawn face, asleep until you need it.
Wake it and say hello
- Tap the orb to wake it and talk to it.
- The first time, your browser asks whether Orb may use the microphone. Choose Allow: Orb can only hear you through it.
- Ask it something. It thinks, then answers out loud, and its face moves with its voice. The voice starts while the answer is still arriving, so you are not left waiting in silence for the whole of it.
Find your way around
The bar at the top of the screen holds everything else:
- Hands-free conversation keeps the orb listening between turns, so you can talk back and forth without touching anything. See Talking hands-free and interrupting.
- Mode, once you have more than one, switches between the parts of your life Orb helps with, such as Work and Church. See Modes and personality.
- Goal journeys opens your plans and check-ins. See Goal journeys and check-ins.
- Knowledge base opens the panel with your documents and every setting, starting with Start here.
